Your data rocks

Your science is groundbreaking

But your story is buried

Let's unearth it

Everyone has a story to tell.

Especially those with great data and novel science that demonstrates amazing promise.  Despite the gold mine you might be sitting on top of, you have only one shot at getting your story right.  Whether its is about your start-up company, your platform technology, your rare disease state, pipeline asset, or mature product, we can help you bring your story to life.

For 16 years, SBC, previously conducting business as Science Branding Communications, has helped companies unearth and craft the best story possible. We start with the end in mind – making sure your take-away message, your big idea, or what we call the Core Story Concept is clear, concise and comprehensible. This requires the strategic ability to dig into the scientific literature, ask the right questions of important people – both internal and external stakeholders and interpret insights to ensure your story is compelling, differentiating and exciting.

Once we have agreed on the best Core Story Concept among multiple candidates, we introduce the key ingredient that makes a story a story – tension.

By “tension” we mean a psychological state in your audience characterized by intrigue, excitement, and anticipation. We firmly believe that if there’s no tension, there’s no drama, no connectivity, no story. And having multiple tension points ensures the audience is engaged from beginning to end.

We create a visual outline called MEDSTORY Flow Map which looks like the image you see here.

Finally, we introduce dynamic custom visualizations using award-winning graphic designers, medical illustrators and animators to help bring the story to life.  This all culminates in creating highly informative, yet attractive scientific story slide presentations, 3D/2D animation videos, white papers, websites and interactive learning modules for training and congresses.
